Dr. Rani Ramchandani was born in 1978 in Baroda, India. She is married to businessman Shammi Ramchandani and is a proud mother of three. The family is based in Nakuru, Kenya.

She served as President of Rotary Club of Nakuru (2022–2023) and won the Best President Award – District 9212. She is currently the Acting President of Lions Club of Menengai (2025–2026). Dr. Rani has been widely recognized for her humanitarian work, receiving numerous awards including Mwanamuke Bomba (TV), Afri Glo Award, Gala Humanitarian of the Year, Pacesetter International Award, DIAR Award for the disability and inclusivity,Anzaga Award, Peace Ambassador Award, ICN International Award, Elite Brand Award, Philanthropist of the Year from sixth stars,Humanitarian of the Year, and Pride of Kenya – Best NGO Award, Kenya social impact award for grassroots of philanthropy and many more.She also persuade her Dr degree in humanitarian and community services from OCU CALIFORNIA in 2025.
In 2024, she received HSC recognition from the President’s Office for outstanding community service.
She was given title of Mother Teresa of Nakuru,Aunty mzungu of Nakuru.
She started journey at a very small way, doing small small activities here and there, by helping needy people, students and elderly. Today with the grace of God she runs a NGO which doing wonders, helping so many people around and outside the country.

She is the Founder and Director of Rani Ramchandani Foundation, while also serving in various leadership roles across organizations.

About the Foundation

Dr. Rani began her humanitarian journey over 14 years ago in Nakuru, supporting children’s homes and elderly care, with expanded impact during the COVID-19 period. Through partnerships with county governments, social workers, national Government, counselors, and clubs, the foundation supports vulnerable groups from infancy to old age.

Key interventions include food and medical support, mobility devices for PWDs, blood drives, sanitary and hygiene programs, education support, school feeding programs, environmental activities, peace building activities, youth counseling, and economic empowerment for widows, young mothers, and PWDs.

To date, the foundation has:

Distributed more than 18,000+ wheelchairs and mobility devices

Donated 700+ hearing aids

Provided 25,000 food hampers, 45,000 sanitary pads, 17,000 masks & sanitizers

Donated 37,000 books

Supported 45+ children’s homes and elderly facilities

Empowered 32 PWD-owned businesses

Educated 37 girls and rescued 22 street children, now in school

Launched a smart stick for the visually impaired, assisting blind beneficiaries in Nakuru
