WHY I DESERVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Being nominated among the best players of the year is already an honour, but I believe my performances throughout the season give me a strong case to be named Player of the Year.

I have not only been a goalkeeper; I have consistently been a difference-maker for my team when it matters most.

Currently playing for Samburu Pirates FC in Division II Zone A, I have earned recognition on several occasions by being named Player of the Match. These recognitions reflect the impact my performances have had on competitive matches.

? BIG-GAME PERFORMANCES

One of the strongest indicators of my mentality is my record in penalty situations. Across three consecutive tournaments, I saved 4 out of 5 penalties:

- MCA Cup – Wamba Ward Finals vs. Matopeni FC
- Super Cup Final vs. Nabore FC
- Governors Cup Round of 16 vs. Tuum FC

These were not ordinary moments. They were high-pressure situations where one save could change the outcome of a match. I stepped up when my team needed me.

? THE DIFFERENCE-MAKER

My biggest strength is my ability to produce critical saves. I am known for my quick reflexes, sharp reactions and composure under pressure, and I rate my shot-stopping performance at approximately 8 critical saves out of every 10 shots faced.

For a goalkeeper, the value of a save is not always measured by the number of shots faced. Sometimes, it is measured by when the save comes.

A crucial save in a final, a knockout match or a decisive moment can change an entire tournament.

? WHY ME?

I believe Player of the Year should go to a player who has demonstrated:

Consistency.
I have continued to perform at a competitive level throughout the season.

Impact.
My performances have directly influenced important matches.

Big-game mentality.
My penalty-saving record demonstrates my ability to perform under pressure.

Recognition.
Being named Player of the Match several times shows that my performances have been noticed beyond my own assessment.

Determination.
I continue to compete at Division II level with Samburu Pirates FC while striving to reach even greater heights.

MY CASE IS SIMPLE

I may be a goalkeeper, but my contribution goes beyond simply stopping shots.

I save penalties.
I make critical saves.
I perform under pressure.
I step up in important matches.
And most importantly, I give my team a chance to win whenever the game is on the line.

If Player of the Year is about impact, consistency, courage and performance when it matters most, then I believe I have earned the right to be considered the best.

The award is decided by the voters.
But my performances have already made my case.
